The city of Olomouc was successfully presented at the Donau-Ries-Ausstellung in the partner city of Nördlingen in Germany in the company of 320 exhibitors from various parts of Europe. In addition to the associations, cultural and charitable institutions of the region, the topics of crafts and construction were in the spotlight. The fair took place in thirteen exhibition areas on a generous 96,000 m² and the event, which was held for the first time after the Covid-19 pandemic, was visited by almost fifty thousand people.
Olomouc City Hall was represented by Miloslava Šinclová and Ladislav Podbehlý from the Tourism Department and Hana Ederová from the Foreign Affairs Department. “There was great interest in our exhibition stand. Olomouc is attractive for German tourists. It attracts people with its historical monuments, culture and, more and more often, quality gastronomy, people are listening to it,” said Lucie Bartovská, head of the tourism department of the Olomouc City Hall.
