In the last two days of August we could enjoy the XXVIIIth International Festival of Military Music in Olomouc. This year, military music ensembles from France, Germany and Hungary took part in the festival. The Czech Republic was represented by the Central Music of the Army of the Czech Republic, which, together with soloists Martin Chodur and Hana Holišová, provided, among other things, a great concert that ended the first day of the festival on Friday 30 August.
On the second day of the festival, individual musical ensembles presented themselves in the centre of Olomouc and then performed together at the closing monstrconcert. Saturday’s programme was complemented by a performance of majorettes and an interesting dynamic demonstration of a motorised unit of the Military Police. Of course, there were also presentation stands of the Army of the Czech Republic with entertaining activities for children and adults.
