People who sign up for the Olomouc Historical Academy will be guided around the city five times by Tomáš Kryl.
The series of five lectures is designed as a 90-minute tour directly in the field. Each participant will also receive an index to show to the guide. The guide will confirm his/her participation and after completing all the lectures, the participant will receive a commemorative certificate and a small gift. Anyone who wants to learn something more about Olomouc,” said Deputy Mayor Markéta Záleská.
The graduates will not become official guides, the certificate has more of a symbolic and commemorative value. The programme was supposed to start last year, but plans were scuppered by the pandemic.
The Olomouc Historical Academy will run from 13 March to 8 May. The tours will always start at 1:30 p.m. at various locations and last two and a half hours in all weather conditions.
The price for the series of five lectures is 550 crowns per person. The Olomouc Historical Academy is organized by the Information Centre, which is also accepting binding reservations until midnight on March 11: Upper Square, model of the city
