World-renowned Czech plastic surgeon, graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of Palacký University in Olomouc. He was one of the first in the world to perform a successful total face transplantation.
During his studies, he already spent a period of internship in Boston, USA, where he went immediately after graduating from the University of Olomouc, completed his postgraduate studies and took up the position of a doctor. In 2017, he was appointed Professor of Surgery at Harvard University Medical School. He currently works as the head of the department of transplantation plastic surgery.
