Olomouc Carnival celebrations
31. 1. 2026 | Upper Square
The first major event of the year in the center of Olomouc. This year marks the seventh edition, where we will enjoy folklore and tradition. Carnival and pig slaughter specialties, a fair with regional products, and above all, lots of fun.
Easter in Olomouc
27. 3. – 6. 4. 2026 | Upper Square
Come welcome spring to Olomouc. A craft fair with beautiful Easter and spring decorations awaits you at Horní náměstí, and you can look forward to a cultural program and cheerful decorations.
Olomouc Cheese Festival
18.–19. 4. 2026 | Upper and Lower Square
The second half of April in Olomouc will belong to the ninth annual festival full of tvarůžky specialties, regional beers, cultural programs for the whole family, and, above all, wonderful experiences. This year, we will also celebrate 150 years of Olomoucké tvarůžky production.
Spring Flora Olomouc Exhibition
23.–26. 4. 2026 | Flora Olomouc Exhibition Grounds
The biggest flower festival – the spring edition of the Flora Olomouc International Flower and Gardening Exhibition. Whether you have a garden, yard, terrace, or balcony, come and be inspired by the latest gardening trends and buy ornamental flowers or useful crops for your garden.
Olomouc Museum Night
15. 5. 2026
Take advantage of this unique opportunity and visit Olomouc’s galleries, museums, and other cultural institutions in the unusual atmosphere of Friday evening and night. Every year, dozens of venues open their doors, many of which are not normally accessible to the public. An accompanying program and a grand opening ceremony are also planned.
City Celebrations
5.–6. 6. 2026 | Upper Square
At the beginning of June, we celebrate the annual City Festival in Olomouc. With a historical parade, in which the general public also participates, we commemorate our patron saint, Saint Pavlina, who, according to legend, helped the city during the plague. The celebrations also include a program for the public and a concert in the cathedral.

6.–7. 6. 2026 | Rose Garden
An open-air exhibition and festival in Olomouc’s rose garden, the second largest rose garden in the Czech Republic. Come and experience the unique atmosphere of thousands of blooming and beautifully scented roses. A traditional accompanying program for the whole family is being prepared.

Olomouc comes alive
19.–20. 6. 2026 | City center and Surroundings
Are you curious to see what it looks like when the city center is transformed into one big concert stage? Then you shouldn’t miss the sixth edition of the largest music and arts festival in the streets of the Czech Republic. Two days of a packed program await you, featuring buskers, artists, dancers, and other performers. Great food and drinks are a given.

31. 7. – 21. 8. 2026 | Upper Square
The seventh annual multi-genre music festival in the historic center of Olomouc. On the last Friday in July and then every Friday in August, the city center will resound with open-air concerts. A wide variety of musical genres will be featured, including jazz, folk, pop, and rock.
International Military Music Festival
28.–29. 8. 2026 | Upper Square
After last year’s break, the two-day parade of military brass bands from the Czech Republic and abroad returns to Olomouc. You can look forward to a program on Upper Square and the traditional cathedral concert.
European Heritage Days
7.–13. 9. 2026
At the beginning of September, Olomouc joins in the annual European Heritage Days celebrations. Throughout the week, the city hosts a variety of guided tours and walks. Friday evening features festive open-air performances, and the weekend offers dozens of open monuments. These often include places that are closed to the public during the rest of the year.
Flora Olomouc – Hortikomplex
8.–11. 10. 2026 | Flora Olomouc Exhibition Grounds
The autumn stage of the international horticultural and flower exhibition, during which the Flora Olomouc Exhibition Grounds are filled with the scent of an exhibition created from autumn fruits and vegetables grown by Czech and Moravian growers. Every year, the Olima gastronomy festival and popular horticultural markets are also held.
Olomouc Design Days
1.–30. 11. 2026
The fourth annual festival, which will showcase design in all its forms throughout the month in Olomouc. Exhibitions, lectures, workshops, seminars, and much more are planned.
Christmas in Olomouc
22. 11. – 23. 12. 2026
Christmas in Olomouc is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the Czech Republic. It is known for its wide range of punches, but also for the fact that the festive program takes place in several locations throughout the city. In addition to the Upper and Lower Squares, it also takes place at the market, on the riverbank, and in Olomouc’s courtyards and alleys.
