The Christmas embankment invites you to a cultural program and Advent cruises

In addition to the Upper and Lower Squares, you can also enjoy Christmas in Olomouc on the riverbank, which is about a fifteen-minute walk from the city center. For the third year in a row, an interesting program is being prepared here during Advent. This year, it will be in a brand new format. The Christmas riverbank combines gastronomy, culture, and the magic of the river into a unique experience of spending time together before Christmas.

Program for young people and tourists

While Thursday and Friday’s program is aimed primarily at students and young people, the organizers have planned weekends for tourists and families with children. On Saturday and Sunday, you can come here to buy handmade Christmas gifts at Dizajntrh. Around thirty artists will be offering their creations, including porcelain, leather goods, jewelry, sewn toys and clothing, and edible gifts. On Sunday, there will be an Advent brunch for families in the morning and a relaxing program.

Concerts and top-class gastronomy

Musical entertainment on the Christmas embankment will be provided by Swingalia, No Barriers, Lucy & Hang Over, KJ SAX, and Marcell. Gastronomic experiences will be provided by well-known Olomouc establishments such as Long Story Short, Bistro Central, Pizza Hradlo, Vulcanus Gril, and Balikejk. You can also enjoy Olopunč or excellent coffee at the Pikola espresso bar.

Advent cruises

And to get the full Christmas experience, don’t miss the traditional Advent cruises on a heated and festively decorated boat, offering an unusual view of Klášterní Hradisko and St. Wenceslas Cathedral from its deck. They run until Tuesday, December 23, on weekdays and weekends.
