A concert and a peacock, an outdoor festival for children, a lighted alley and fountain, and a park reminiscent of a guinguette. All this was offered by the City Festival in its “garden part” in Smetana Gardens.
The lower square came alive for the whole weekend with the Flerjarmark, the upper one mainly with concerts. All this was preceded by a classic parade through the town in historical costumes on Friday, when the relics of the patron saint of Olomouc, St. Pauline, were brought out of St. Moritz Cathedral.
And on Sunday, the season of promenade concerts began with a dixieland in the gazebo.
