The Olomouc Information Centre will again take part in this year’s Tourist Information Centre Week, which will take place from 23 to 29 October. It has prepared several pleasant surprises for its visitors.
“As early as October 23, a competition will be launched to win nice prizes. On Friday, 27 October, we will have small gifts for visitors to the information centre in a lucky draw and part of the Tourist Information Centre Week will be free climbs up the town hall tower on Fridays at eleven, fifteen and seventeen o’clock,” says Jitka Lučanová, head of the Olomouc Information Centre, which is located in the arcade of the town hall on Horní náměstí.
The event takes place on the occasion of World Information Development Day, declared by the United Nations in 1972 and falling on 24 October. The Association of Tourist Information Centres of the Czech Republic has decided to mark this important day by promoting its members with an event to remind them of the importance of obtaining and disseminating information.
