This year, the Olomouc Information Centre is also taking part in the Week of Tourist Information Centres and on the last weekend in October it is preparing a free climb up the town hall tower and tours of the ceremonial hall in the Komenský Primary School.
“We are planning a programme for Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October as part of the Tourist Information Centre Week. On both days, visitors can climb the Town Hall Tower at 11 am or 3 pm. At 2 p.m., they will have the opportunity to visit the unique ceremonial hall in the Komenský Primary School with a guide,” invited Jitka Lučanová from the Olomouc Information Centre, adding that small gifts will also be prepared for visitors to the information centre on both days.
The climb up the town hall tower and the guided tour of the ceremonial hall Komenium will be free of charge during the Week of Tourist Information Centres. However, due to the limited number of places on the tours, it is necessary to reserve your place in advance at tickets.olomouc.eu.
The Week of Tourist Information Centres is organised by the Association of Tourist Information Centres of the Czech Republic (A.T.I.C. ČR) in cooperation with certified tourist information centres. Its aim is to commemorate the World Information Development Day, which was proclaimed by the United Nations in 1972 and falls annually on 24 October. This year is the fifth edition of the Tourist Information Centres Week, which runs from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 October 2024 and involves more than 200 information centres.
