The multi-genre music festival Večerní pohoda u Trojice (Evening Relaxation at Trojice) and, at the end of August, the Military Music Festival. August Fridays in Olomouc will offer musical experiences full of timeless hits and a great atmosphere.
For the sixth summer in a row, the multi-genre music festival Večerní pohoda u Trojice (Evening Relaxation at Trojice) will take place in the center of Olomouc. From August 1 to 22, every Friday, Horní náměstí (Upper Square) will be transformed into a place of meeting, music, joy, and relaxation. Admission is free, but the experiences are priceless!
The first Friday in August will kick off the festival with a concert by Tereza Balonová, winner of the 2023 Anděl Award in the Discovery of the Year category and winner of the same category in the Zlatý slavík poll. On the second Friday in August, you can look forward to the timeless hits of Standa Hložek and a performance by his son Mathias. The third Friday in August will be especially appealing to folk music fans, when the songs of Roman Horký and the band Kamelot will be heard on Horní náměstí. The series of Evening Relaxation at Trojice concerts will conclude on August 22 with French chanson performed by the popular band La Boujeau and a concert by Tamara Dikyová, one of the few Czechoslovak artists to have been engaged by the famous Cirque du Soleil.

While Horní náměstí will belong to the Olomouc Military Band, which will also play well-known film and musical melodies, the traditional concert in the Church of St. Maurice will this time be directed by the Castle Guard Band. It was founded in early 1990 as musical accompaniment for the changing of the guard at Prague Castle. Today, it has over thirty musicians, whose repertoire includes classical compositions and hymns as well as pop and rock music.
