This year, the Olomouc Information Centre has prepared guided tours of the Olomouc Town Hall in the run-up to Christmas. In addition, you can also visit the festive Komenium Hall every Advent Sunday with a guide.
From 29 November to 22 December, you can take advantage of guided tours of the town hall prepared by the Olomouc Information Centre when visiting Olomouc. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, a guide will take you through the Christmas-decorated interiors of Olomouc City Hall, you will have a peek into the Chapel of St. Jerome and see exhibitions about the history of the city, the City Hall and the astronomical clock. The tour ends with a climb up the 75-metre high Town Hall tower, from which you will have Christmas Olomouc in the palm of your hand. The ticket for the Advent tours of the town hall, priced at 150 CZK, also serves as a voucher for a free punch. Children under 12 do not pay admission. Tours take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 am, 3 pm, 4 pm and 5 pm, and on Sundays at 11 am and 3 pm.
Every Advent Sunday at 2 p.m. there are also guided tours of the ceremonial hall of the Comenius, which thanks to its unique decoration has rightly earned the nickname “Olomouc’s Sistine Chapel”. Take this opportunity to discover a hidden treasure of Olomouc that will take your breath away. The price of the tour is 80 CZK, children under 12 are free.
