Astronomical Clock Exhibition
This exhibition has been created in collaboration with the Regional Museum, which was engaged significantly in its creation. This display will liven up the popular guided tour „Olomouc in a Nutshell“.
Guided tours:
June 15th to September 15th, part of the tour „Olomouc in a Nutshell“ daily at 9:30am, 11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:00pm, off-season: daily at 11:00am and 3:00pm.
The new Astronomical Clock exhibition at the Town Hall focuses on the six hundred year history of this unique time machine. The Astronomical Clock is introduced to visitors as an interesting piece of iconography and artistic craftsmanship as well as a historically significant astronomical work. The Olomouc Astronomical clock is presented at various stages of its development and completed by original parts of an older clock. In this way they symbolically return to the premises for which they were originally intended.
