Traditional cultural events in Olomouc include Dvořák's Olomouc, International Organ Festival and Autumn Festival of Sacred Music.
Olomouc is often referred to as a city of culture, and rightly so. It is the home town of the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra and the Moravian Theatre Olomouc, which has already celebrated the eightieth anniversary of its founding.
Another well-known theater is the Music Theatre, dedicated to alternative projects. As a small stage it offers a wide variety of shows aimed at diverse audiences. The Theatre Tramtarie and the Theatre Konvikt complete the Olomouc alternative scene. Their repertoire appeals mainly to young audiences. Every year at the turn of April and May, the Theatre Konvikt organizes the successful Festival called „Flora Theatre“.Children can visit the puppet theater Kasperle’s land.
